Overview
Varang Healthcare are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to our residents to their own home care environments. Your primary focus will be on assisting individuals with their daily activities while ensuring their comfort and well-being. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a caring attitude, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Responsibilities
- Assist individual with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Support individuals in following their care plans and achieving their personal goals.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the quality of life for patients.
- Help with mobility and physical activities, ensuring safety at all times.
- Maintain accurate records of patient progress and report any changes in condition to the healthcare team.
- Communicate effectively with residents , families, and other healthcare professionals.
- Drive to various locations as needed for home care assignments or appointment visits.
- Utilise IT systems for documentation and communication purposes.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a healthcare or caregiving role is desirable but not essential.
- Understanding of care plans and the ability to implement them effectively.
- Strong command of English, both spoken and written, to facilitate clear communication.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being able to work independently when required.
- A valid driving licence is preferred but not essential
- A caring nature with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
