PW Recruitment is currently recruiting for a Chef to join a friendly, family-run pub based in the Medway Towns. This is a fantastic opportunity for a reliable and capable chef looking for consistent part-time weekend work in a relaxed, supportive environment.
🕒 Working Hours
- Friday & Saturday: 10:00am – 9:00pm (service 12:00pm – 8:00pm, with break between services)
- Sunday: 10:00am – 7:00pm (service 12:00pm – 6:00pm)
- Working days: Friday, Saturday & Sunday only
🍽️ The Role
You will be responsible for running a small kitchen independently, preparing and serving classic pub dishes to a loyal, local customer base.
Duties include:
- Preparing and cooking traditional pub meals
- Managing kitchen service during lunch and dinner periods
- Maintaining cleanliness and food hygiene standards
- Planning and delivering occasional daily specials
- Working closely with front-of-house staff
🍴 Menu Style
- Traditional pub favourites:
- Roast dinners
- Fish & chips
- Pie & mash
- Sausage & mash
- Light lunches including baguettes
- Starters, desserts, and occasional specials
👤 About You
- Previous experience as a chef (pub experience preferred)
- Confident working independently in a small kitchen
- Able to manage service efficiently for up to 50 covers (peak Sundays)
- Passion for producing good-quality, traditional pub food
- Reliable, organised, and able to handle a steady service
