The Role
As Chef, you'll play a key role in delivering an exceptional food offering while maintaining the high standards that have made this venue one of Rochester's most popular dining destinations.
You'll thrive in a fast-paced environment, bringing passion, creativity and consistency to every service. Whether you're preparing beautifully presented brunches, baking fresh pastries or supporting outdoor street food events, no two days will be the same.
What You'll Be Doing
- Preparing and cooking a variety of fresh, high-quality dishes.
- Creating both sweet and savoury menu items, including breakfasts, brunches, pasta dishes, pastries and light meals.
- Producing visually stunning plates with exceptional attention to presentation.
- Preparing food for dine-in customers, takeaway orders and outdoor street food events and special occasions.
- Supporting the development of new menu ideas and seasonal specials.
- Maintaining excellent food hygiene, cleanliness and organisation throughout the kitchen.
- Managing stock, rotating ingredients and helping to minimise waste.
- Working closely with the wider team to deliver an outstanding customer experience.
- Remaining calm, organised and efficient during busy service periods.
We're Looking For Someone Who Has
- Previous experience working as a Chef in a busy café, restaurant or hospitality environment.
- Strong experience preparing both sweet and savoury dishes, including brunch, pasta, pastries and light meals.
- A genuine passion for fresh food and creative cooking.
- A flair for presentation and an eye for detail.
- The ability to work confidently under pressure while maintaining exceptional standards.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- A positive attitude and a team-focused approach.
- Experience preparing food for table service, takeaway and outdoor catering or street food events would be advantageous.
Essential Requirements
- Minimum Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate.
- Good knowledge of kitchen hygiene, food safety and health and safety legislation.
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
