They are currently seeking an experience and visionary Principal Mechanical engineer to join their talented team.

THE ROLE:

As a Principal Mechanical engineer, your role will include:

  • Leading the mechanical team in the design and development of advanced instrumentation products.
  • Drive innovation and continuous improvement in mechanical engineering processes and methodologies.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers, software engineers, and scientists, to develop integrated solutions.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering their professional growth and development.
  • Conduct feasibility studies, perform system-level analysis, and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Oversee the design and prototyping of mechanical components and systems, ensuring optimal performance, reliability and manufacturability.
  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies, market trends, and industry best practices in mechanical engineering and instrumentation.

ABOUT YOU:

To be considered for this role, you need to have at least 5 years experience in mechanical engineering, preferably in the design of analytical, test or measurement instrumentation. Furthermore, you should have strong expertise in CAD Software with a deep knowledge of mechanical design principles, materials, manufacturing processes and cost optimisation. Finally, and perhaps most importantly, you need to have strong management skills, and the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
