About the role

We are delighted to be working in partnership with an established market leader in managed communications technology and systems integration who develop their own products. For over 40 years, they’ve been at the forefront of innovation, transforming customer experiences through smarter communications, automation, analytics and AI.

They deliver transformative communication and CX solutions throughout the UK and internationally, supporting clients with global reach and ambition.

As the business expands, they are looking to onboard a DevOps SysAdmin to support teams across the business for both internal and hosted infrastructures including hardware, operating systems and server-based applications.

As a Senior DevOps Systems Administrator, you’ll lead automation efforts, work with cutting-edge tools, and be trusted to make key decisions that influence the direction of the business. The DevOps Engineer will help architect robust hybrid cloud solutions and streamline infrastructure with tools like Terraform, Ansible, and GitHub Actions.

You’ll be working in a collaborative environment that invests in your development — with clear progression, technical certifications, and the opportunity to mentor others whilst growing your leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities will include:

  • Design, deploy and support infrastructure across AWS and private cloud
  • Automate infrastructure with Terraform and Ansible
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions
  • Implement observability tools (Grafana, Prometheus, CloudWatch)
  • Work across teams to improve reliability and security
  • Manage hybrid networks, IAM, firewalls and VPNs

The successful DevOps Systems Administrator will have:

  • At least 3-5 years of DevOps experience, including hands-on AWS,
  • Experience with VMware or Proxmox.
  • Strong Linux skills with networking and cloud security knowledge.
  • Experience of working with Terraform, Ansible, and Kubernetes (e.g. EKS)
  • Confident scripting in Bash, Python or Go

AWS Certifications and knowledge of security tools such as Trivy would be beneficial.

This is a fantastic and exciting opportunity for an experienced Systems Administrator, DevOps Engineer or Platform/Cloud Engineer to work as part of a people-first company that holds exceptional staff retention rates and career development opportunities.

The role comes with a generous benefits package, including retail discounts, private healthcare, flexible working arrangements and many more. If you’re ambitious, curious and can demonstrate loyalty as an employee, this is your chance to learn and grow your career in a company with pedigree, purpose and potential.

Please not that this is a permanent position seeking candidates that can demonstrate longevity of service with their former employers
