CV audit: the structure and visibility of your CV.
A CV audit is included within your Free CV Review — the deeper look at how your CV is built: section completeness, evidence strength, weak-verb check, and the everyday details that make a CV easy or hard to scan. It isn't a separate service: request the free review and a human reviewer covers the audit alongside recruiter readability, with this page telling them where to focus.
01 / How it works
Request your Free CV Review
Use the request form to share your current CV — any common format (DOCX, PDF, plain text) works. Coming from this page tells the reviewer to focus on structure and visibility.
A human reviewer audits the structure
A human reviewer walks through your CV the way a careful recruiter would on a second read — checking section hierarchy, evidence strength, mobile/ATS readability, and the gaps a recruiter would expect to see filled.
You receive a structural improvement list
You get a written response with the structural weaknesses worth fixing first and a concrete suggestion for each — usually within 1 business day.
02 / What this dimension covers
The audit is the structural look at how your CV is built, delivered as part of your Free CV Review. We focus on the elements a recruiter actively notices when reading carefully — beyond the first-7-second scan:
- Section completeness. Are the sections a recruiter expects to see (summary, experience, skills, education) all present, ordered sensibly, and well labelled?
- Evidence strength. Are achievements specific, outcome-led, and supported by numbers or concrete detail — or are they generic responsibility lists?
- Weak-verb check. Are your bullet points anchored on strong action verbs, or are they padded with phrases like “responsible for” and “helped with”?
- Role-relevance signals. Are your past roles framed in a way that signals fit for the role you're targeting today, rather than reading like a generic history?
- Structure on mobile and email. Does the CV still read well when previewed in an email client or on a recruiter's phone?
- ATS-safe structure. Will the CV survive being parsed by standard applicant tracking systems? We comment on common ATS patterns; we do not promise any specific ATS will accept it.
- Visible gaps. Are there obvious missing signals (dates, role context, recent activity) a recruiter would expect to see — and easy ways to address them?
- Tone consistency. Does the CV speak in one consistent voice, or jump between “I”, third-person, and inconsistent verb tenses?
03 / What you receive
- A structural audit summary. A short written review of how your CV is built and where the structure helps or hinders a careful read.
- Priority fixes. A focused list of the structural weaknesses worth fixing first — not a generic CV checklist.
- Concrete suggestions per fix. For each priority item, a practical suggestion you can act on without guessing.
- Optional paid rewrite later. If you want help applying the changes, Team4Rec offers a paid CV rewrite service. The free review never requires a paid follow-up.
04 / Honest limits
We're explicit about what this audit is and is not:
- No automatic score. No number is generated by software on this page. There is no algorithmic CV rating, badge, or pass/fail signal.
- No AI report. A human reviewer reads your CV. The free audit is not an AI-generated report.
- No ATS-pass promise. We comment on readability against common ATS patterns; we do not promise any specific applicant tracking system will accept your CV.
- No interview promise. A clearer, better-built CV improves your chances of being read carefully — we never promise a specific interview rate or recruiter response.
- We never share your CV or contact anyone for you. Your CV is reviewed only by Team4Rec — never shared with employers, recruiters or third parties. We never contact employers on your behalf, and you complete any application yourself.
05 / FAQ
Is this a separate service from the Free CV Review?
No — the CV audit is one of the dimensions a reviewer covers in your Free CV Review. Requesting from this page simply tells the reviewer to focus on structure and visibility. There is one free review, one request, one written reply.
How is this different from recruiter readability?
They are two dimensions of the same Free CV Review. Recruiter readability focuses on the first-7-second scan: what a recruiter sees at a glance and what stands out or gets lost. The CV audit goes deeper into the structural build of your CV — section completeness, evidence strength, weak verbs, and mobile/ATS structure. The same human reviewer covers both; the page you request from tells them which angle matters most to you.
Is the audit really free?
Yes — the Free CV Review is free, including the audit feedback. Team4Rec also offers paid rewrite and optimisation services later if you want help applying the changes, but the free review never requires a paid follow-up.
How long does it take?
We respond within 1 business day in most cases. We don't operate a 24/7 line.
