How it works ↓

01 / How it works

Step 1

Share your profile

Send your LinkedIn profile URL or screenshots of the sections you want reviewed — plus, if you have one, your current banner image. You decide what to share.

Step 2

A human reviewer reads it

A human reviewer scans your profile the way a recruiter would — checking headline clarity, the About narrative, evidence in your Experience section, and whether the banner supports or distracts from your story.

Step 3

You receive practical edits

You get a written response with the highest-impact edits to consider next — usually within 1 business day. No fluff, no templated checklist.

02 / What we look at

The review is a structural look at how your LinkedIn profile reads at recruiter speed. We focus on the elements that determine whether a recruiter keeps reading or moves on:

  • Headline clarity. Does the line under your name immediately communicate the role you're targeting, or is it a generic job title?
  • About-section narrative. Does the About section open with a clear positioning sentence, or does it bury the lead?
  • Experience entries. Are your roles described with specific outcomes and evidence, or are they generic responsibility lists?
  • Keyword visibility. Are role-relevant terms visible across Headline, About, and Experience — without keyword stuffing?
  • Banner design. Does the banner add useful context (your domain, location focus, or a clean visual) or distract from the profile photo and headline? We comment on layout and signal — we do not redesign the banner for you.
  • Featured section. Are the items you've pinned actually showing the strongest evidence of what you do, or are they outdated?
  • Activity tone. Do your recent posts and reactions reinforce or undermine the role you're targeting?
  • Recommendations and endorsements. Are the recommendations specific enough to be persuasive, or are they generic?

03 / What you receive

  • Profile readability summary. A short written review of how your profile reads at recruiter speed and where the eye gets stuck.
  • Headline and About suggestions. Concrete rewrite suggestions for the two highest-leverage sections.
  • Banner observations. If you sent a banner, you get notes on layout, signal, and whether it supports the rest of the profile.
  • Priority edit list. A short ordered list of the changes most likely to improve clarity — not a generic LinkedIn checklist.
  • Optional paid rewrite later. If you want help applying the changes, Team4Rec offers a paid profile rewrite service. The free review never requires a paid follow-up.

04 / Honest limits

We're explicit about what this review is and is not:

  • Not affiliated with LinkedIn. Team4Rec is an independent service. We do not use LinkedIn brand assets, logos, or colours. We use Team4Rec's own visual language throughout.
  • No AI-generated profile summary. A human reviewer reads your profile. The free review is not an automated rewrite.
  • No profile-view promise. A clearer profile tends to read better, but we never promise a specific increase in profile views or search impressions.
  • No recruiter-outreach promise. We never promise that recruiters will message you after the review. Recruiter behaviour is outside our control.
  • No interview promise. A better profile may improve your chances of being read carefully — we never promise an interview rate.
  • We never message recruiters or employers on your behalf. The review is feedback for you. We don't reach out to any third party as part of it.
  • We never share your profile. Anything you send us is reviewed only by Team4Rec — never shared with recruiters, employers, or other users.

05 / FAQ

Is this affiliated with LinkedIn?

No. Team4Rec is an independent service. We are not affiliated with LinkedIn, do not use LinkedIn brand assets, logos, or colours, and do not represent LinkedIn in any way. We comment on profiles hosted on LinkedIn because that's where most jobseekers maintain a profile — using Team4Rec's own visual language throughout.

What about other professional networks?

The review focuses on LinkedIn profile copy and banner design because that's where the most recruiter-relevant feedback applies. If you maintain a profile elsewhere (a personal portfolio, GitHub, etc.) and want recruiter-style feedback on it, the recruiter-readability tool or the CV audit may be a better fit.

Is the review really free?

Yes — the profile and banner review is free. Team4Rec also offers a paid profile rewrite service later if you want help applying the changes, but the free review never requires a paid follow-up.

How long does it take?

We respond within 1 business day in most cases. We don't operate a 24/7 line.

Will you message recruiters or employers on my behalf?

No. We never reach out to recruiters, employers, or any other third party. The review is feedback for you to apply yourself.
